Submitted by Boo1375 from Canton, Michigan

"This was the First time I planted watermelon and it will be in my garden from now on. I started the seeds out indoors to get a jump on the season. YES YOU CAN GROW WATERMELON IN MICHIGAN, I DID!!! Keep it watered and you should have enough to share with friends and family."

Easy to grow and beautiful color, March, 6 2009
Submitted by MiamiGardener from Miami, FL

"I've been growing these for 2 years. I sow them directly in garden and also grow them in containers... super easy to grow. When they dry up I keep the seeds and replant them. Everyone comments on their amazing color; some look pink others purple."

Long term success, March, 6 2009
Submitted by norska from EC

"I have used the stackable joints and composite timbers since 2005, for a veggie & herb bed, and they have performed very well. The only downside is the little caps for the joints keep coming off, but they are just for a more finished look, and not functional. When I put my bed together (like the Deluxe Two-Stepper layout) the joints and timbers fit so well, I never bothered to screw them together. After four seasons, the weight of the soil has pushed everying out of square, so I have to go back and do it right now ;) I recommend doing it correctly the first time :)"

Best Canner by Far, March, 1 2009
Submitted by Aelsa from Columbus, OH

"First canned this tomato in 2006, plants my sister grew for me. Wonderful yield, low-maintenance, and no blossom end rot when another variety had that problem--thick clay soil in my area, constantly amending my soil. This plant grew well, and canning was so easy compared with my Roma VF. A lot of meat, small seed cavity. A dream to work with. Great flavor."

My husband's favorite, February, 23 2009
Submitted by GeeWilikers from Indianapolis

"Everyone seems to love this plant and wants me to save seeds for them! These are huge plants that make a fun display that you can enjoy from the inside of your house if you plant them in front of your window. We had colorful birds, hummingbirds and butterflies hanging out in this big, beautiful bush of flowers. Check out the photos to see!"

Superb Basil, February, 23 2009
Submitted by Sunnymamamia from Saint Paul, MN

"Loved the Spicy Saber Basil in salads, in stir fries, and in bolognaise sauces. A subtle spicy undertone with a traditional sweet basil taste, we used this twice as fast as all our other basils last year. Easily grown, we direct sowed twice for long season, slow to go to seed."

All the News Thats Fit To Compost!, February, 15 2009
Submitted by GrandPop from Labadie, MO

"I bought the pot maker because the idea appealed to me / the newspapers today are not worth reading anyway and the idea of turning tem into compost while at the same time providing a cheap way to move my starts up just made me smile. So far all is going according to plan, like the other reviews indicate. The little pots are easy to make, and are holding up to the moisture from watering very well. I will add to this review after the end of March, when I will be planting them. But if they hold up as well as they have so far, I expect to be posting a positive review."
