soybean seeds, July 23, 2007
Submitted by hlthnut

"I was told that soybeans can't be grown in CT. Well, I have proven growers wrong because I have the most beautiful soybean crop. Just need to keep the japanese beetles off. I have soybeans everywhere. I highly recommend these seeds and will plant them next year too. I planted the seeds in the garden 1st week of May. I have nice pods that will probably be ready to pick in August."

lovely performer, July 22, 2007
Submitted by martha

"Reliable, lots of big blooms per plant, great foliage, nice size, not too big or too small. These are the cornerstones in our garden this year - very reliable, solid. We have them throughout and they add continuity and consistency. They are also amazing cut flowers. The flowers hold their shape and color whether on the plant or cut and put in a vase.
I sowed them inside early but it was not until the seedlings could go outside to be hardened off that they began to sturdy up. I learned from this that there is no need to rush them. They need sun and warmth. Next year I will still sow them inside but not until later, when they can go outside when the get another pair of leaves, for hardening.
I love zinnias and this is my new all time favorite!
This is a great variety - thank you Burpee!"

A Most Wonderful Tomato, July 18, 2007
Submitted by anne5525

"Plants are extremely prolific. A hardy plant here in the very hot state of Mississippi. Tomatoes are not too tart, especially recommended for those people with reflux who are bothered by tomatoes. Not quite as juicy as some tomatoes, but the flavor more than makes up for this. This has become our family's favorite slicing tomato."

Very unusual zucchini, July 18, 2007
Submitted by gardenerinpa from Southwestern PA

"I bought the Roly Poly seeds mostly because they were so unusual. Nobody I have told them about has ever heard of a round zucchini! I have stuffed them; they hold their shape well even after parboiling, and such a cute presentation. I have also sliced them and then breaded/baked them for a healthier take on fried zucchini. They are also delicious that way. Pick when small for best flavor, just like any other zucchini. Another way I have used them is shredded and in baked goods. To my mind, baking with zucchini is the absolute BEST way to use them!"

great grower, July 20, 2007
Submitted by wilbar

"I planted mid may and the largest of the bunch is 5'tall july 20.
Almost every seed germinated, they transplanted well, and are growing like crazy, even in the sand and southern red clay.
I planted them all around my vegetables and flowers, being careful not to block their sunlight, and they have made the most lush backdrop for my landscape that already adds so much depth to my displays, and they haven't even bloomed yet.
I am very anxious to see how many mature to bloom."

Oh, My!, July 9, 2007
Submitted by sunshinebaby from Long Island

"Beautiful flower. But beware! I put mine in a large barrel planter with latice. The plant is pulling down the latice and trying to cling to anything around it. Every day I go outside and train the vine around the latice. I had to support the latice as well! Beautiful flower and worth the effort."

"I sowed these seeds directly into my garden with some wildflower seeds and sunflowers. They are beautiful! I saw growth from the seeds within a week. They bloomed after about 6 weeks. Beautiful addition to a garden and so easy to care for :)"

easy easy easy., July 2, 2007
Submitted by Kat0Ninetails

"I've grown these with other peas two years now and these are just idiot proof. I'm pretty sure as long as you remember to water and provide them a decent fence these will grow in just about any soil will result in some pods. One packet of these resulted in a 15 foot row. Great yield which still isn't complete as I write this and has great flavor."

Submitted by greenthumbgrammy

"Its only july 5th but i have already harvested handfuls of these supersweet delights. Plants are staked and load up with tons and tons of flowers and the grape tomatoes are simply mouthwatering right from the garden. I love these! They are really sweet. I highly reccomend these as they produce well and the harvest keeps coming. Mine are ripening from bottom up. I planted 12 of these and everybody loves these gems!"

GREAT Tomatoes, June 29, 2007
Submitted by Freida from Jackson, MS

"These tomatoes are the best! I have them in two self-watering containers and am using red mulch. Compared to my other tomato plants the Patio Princess' leaves are a dark green and no pests are attacking them. In previous years I would get mixed results regarding production, but these babies just won't quit. Every day I am picking tomatoes. Will definitely purchase more next year - may even get another self-watering container and try some other Burpee tomatoes. Good work guys!"
