Biggest Hit of Summer 2007!, February 24, 2008
Submitted by Marmoxmag from Scarborough, ME

"These tomatoes were the surprise hit of my garden in 2007. I had never tried this variety before, usually planting Burpee classic red cherry tomatoes. First, these are DELICIOUS fresh off the plant and stay fresh for a long time in the fridge. Secondly, I couldn't *believe* the yield. I truly must have had 100 tomatoes on each plant, easy. I couldn't keep up with them, and invited friends and neighbors over to enjoy the harvest. Finally, unlike the yellow heirloom pear tomatoes, these don't split when they're ripe. The pears split open the second they're ready meaning 100% blemished fruit, but these are "ripe" at a variety of shades and never split open. I'm planting again this year! :)
SUGGESTION: plant fewer than you think you'll need because of the yield."
