Super Sweet Gourmet, May 22, 2008
Submitted by hungarianharvester from Southern New Jersey

"What can I say? I just sowed these seeds for the third year in a row. Not only are they the most proliflict summer squash I have ever grown but the taste is superb! I average 15 to 25 fruit per plant. I harvest from late June until September. If you like them fried, baked, steamed or grilled they are perfect! They are excellent for zuchini bread as well. For my money ten times better then the standard dark green zuke. I grow many vegetables and fruit. I love them all. If I had to only choose one to grow for the rest of my life it would be the sweet gourmet summer squash. Hands down the best....."

Great for Grilling, May 23, 2008
Submitted by NashvilleGardner from Nashville, TN

"I've tried about 1/2 a dozen eggplant variaties, and this is my favorite. The fruit sets much earlier than some variaties. The fruit is slender and long, almost a foot. They are easily sliced into grilling thickness. A little olive oil, pepper and salt is all they need for grilling, and they are delicious! The fruit is plentiful with relatively few and small seeds. Highly recommended."

fantastic cherry-type, May 11, 2008
Submitted by dcook from Denver, CO

"I have grown quite a few variety of tomatoes from seed and these are always prolific and easy to grow. The plants get very large, over 6' tall, and the yield is impressive. These plants require support. The flavor is good. With such an incredible harvest, we had too many to eat fresh and too many to give away. I used them in my crushed tomato recipe."

Excellent Product, May 12, 2008
Submitted by lachicachiva from Nashville, TN

"Pots were easy and fun to make. It took very little practice to achieve consistent and solid results. I was worried about how well the pots would hold up under germination conditions, but they have done very well and survived the two months to transplant time. The only difficulty was getting the potting soil into the pots since they are not stiff enough to scoop with. Because of the shape it is not efficient to pour in soil (you lose a lot to the spaces between the round pots) so next year I will use a scoop and/or wide funnel to facilitate that step."

Outstanding, May 12, 2008
Submitted by burpeepal from Dallas, GA

"I purchased a couple of pairs of the salmon gloves last year. Wow! they fit. I have small hands and most of the gloves that I have purchased in the past were a bit too big. I love these gloves, I wear the fingers out after two and a half months. So now, I try to purchase enough for the long summer and fall gardening in Ga. They wear very well for pulling weeds, carrying tree limbs and even working in the garden after a rain."

Excellent Tomato, May 13, 2008
Submitted by ljsweeney from Hillsborough, NJ

"Grew this last summer and it was excellent! The plants were strong and sturdy. Had no disease problems and it was 1 of the only tomato plants I had where the fruits didn't crack. The flavor is wonderful- tangy and sweet and it looks great as a salsa. It definitely won a yearly spot in my garden!"

Great Bean, May 15, 2008
Submitted by CAGardener from Northern CA

"Last year was my first time with these beans, and they are fantastic. Great production and the beans kept coming well into August. The color also was a big hit with my neighbors, as they had never seen purple beans before. My only complaint is that they seem to rot in the ground more than the regular green beans do under similar conditions. All-in-all, though, well worth planting."

Not just for cold protection, May 4, 2008
Submitted by Timothy from Southwest Oklahoma

"Wall-o-waters can allow for earlier planting as advertised, however, they serve their best purpose as a physical barrier and protector of plants. I would use them even if I planted after the last frost. Animals won't trample plants. Wind won't bother plants. I use them in conjunction with classic three ring metal stakes and burpee tomato cages and have never had a plant die for any reason prior to October. You'll want to use paper or mulch for weed prevention because you can't weed easily once the plant reaches a certain size."

keep this stuff away from deer and bunnies!, May 5, 2008
Submitted by meesh from Northern IN

"This is my second year growing lemon basil, from the same packet of seeds too. Last year i grew it in rather poor soil mixed with some organic miracle grow garden soil and it did well....so well that deer and rabbits ate just about all of it to the ground! I managed to save a few leaves and made a very herby and delicious tea from them. This year i'm putting my lemon basil in a planter, far away from nature's little theives! This basil is excellent for those who love to cook exotic asian dishes."

Delicious and productive, May 6, 2008
Submitted by perdidojim from NW Florida

"Planted at the same time as two other varieties, Burpless Beauty was more productive than the others. It produced for a long time even in the hot, humid Florida summer. The cucumbers were delicious too. A variety that's hard to beat."

Prolific and good, May 2, 2008
Submitted by Ruby711 from Sandston, VA

"Grown for the first time last year - pack of 4 seedlings from a local store. Planted in loosened compost and top soil mixed with a hit of Miracle Grow, caged in standard tomato cages & watered via drip irrigation every other day or when I remembered. They were fantastic! Sweet and more like baby romas than cherries - being on the dry-side is a plus to me. We picked an average of 40 a day every day throughout the summer until late-September. These are the only cherry/grape tomatoes that I'll have in the garden."

The sweetest ever, January 17, 2008
Submitted by BurpeeExpert from Doylestown, PA

"By far the sweetest cherry tomato I’ve ever tasted! These tiny little fruits really give off an aftertaste of honey – its as if you dipped the fruits in honey before eating them. My plants had incredible yields all summer long."
