I have never had a complaint. They even thrive in thick clay soil, and in a bed right next to the driveway, where it can reach around 105 midday because of the blacktop." |

Submitted by dougnjess from Fort Wayne, IN "My husband and I love gardening of all types and have a pretty impressive yard in a small neighborhood. Lots of people stop to check out our garden and even among the show piece plants everytime they were most impressed with this pepper. Our plants were literally 5 ft. tall and loaded with the greatest peppers we've ever grown. Don't be discouraged by nay sayers that mention rotting and sour taste. We have grown this plant for 6 years now, and have had little of such trouble. When we have had a problem it was due to low calcium in the soil (rotting on the bottom) and whole pepper rotting was a result of wet plants and cold temperatures, though we were still harvesting on HALLOWEEN!!! In zone 5 that is amazing. The peppers that we got were as long and thicker than my forearm, and had great thick walls great for roasting. We had 26 plants that we grew and besides giving away litterally buckets full, we froze close to 30 gallons of chopped peppers!!!! We also used them in our homemade spagetti sauce, made roasted red pepper soup, and used them fresh. I have been an avid gardener for 10 years and have never grown such an awesome pepper. You must try this!" |

Submitted by HummingbirdFavorites from Roswell, Georgia "Being concerned with the drought we're having in the South, I purchased Heat Wave II seeds in 2008 as an "insurance policy" against the summer heat. Of the six varieties that I grew last year, the Heat Wave II tomatoes ripened first and continued to produce until the very end of the growing season. And they're easy to grow. But the texture, consistency and flavor were a pleasant surprise! These are beautiful tomatoes, very meaty with few seeds and a terrific flavor! Most definitely, this was my best producing tomato last year. I'll be expanding my garden in 2009 to include an entire row of Heat Wave II tomatoes. What we can't eat we'll sell at our local farmers market on the weekends. The folks that buy these tomatoes will be in for a real treat!" |

I tried this variety last season because of the Burpee description; I was suprised. I have a suburban garden and planted 16 square feet with this plant. It does not grow over 2", but produces and produces. The flavor and texture is wonderful. I can't quite say how much I grew from what I gave away fresh, and then gave away blanched because I ran out of freaser room. I have enough after all of that for most of the winter. I know that I will be planting a whole section of my garden with this varitey next year!" |

I planted some with English Ivy and they were beautiful. Most of the plants grew to almost 3 feet tall and wide. I purchased the plants and I'm looking forward to reordering next year. After receiving the Echinacea in the mail, I set it outside in its small pot, but didn't get it planted for a couple of weeks. When I finally got the poor thing planted, I figured it would probably have a slow season. To my surprise, the little plant really took off! It has leaves bigger than my hands, I have had continuous blooms all summer and after two hard freezes, it is still going! My only slightly negative comment would be that my Echinacea is not really "orange" as in the pictures shown for the product...its more of a pink/salmon hue. Still a beautiful flower and probably the plant I enjoyed the most this season!" |

Not only are they delicious, but my husband who has trouble with reflux can eat these peppers with no problems! I recommend them to everyone!" |
