Submitted by Danny "I grew these in small pots for tables at a wedding dinner because of the name "Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow," and they were easy to grow and packed with flowers. A few leftovers I planted at home and now I wouldn't be without this variety. I love the turning of the flower colors." |

Submitted by Montana from Montana "I tried Tomande last year (2007) for the first time and was amazed with both vigor and production. I grew 12 varieties (mostly heirloom) in two gardens and the Tomande produced 2-3 times as many tomatoes as any of the others. One garden got severely hailed on and the Tomande was the most vigorous in coming back from the hail. I canned 150 quarts of tomatoes and 60 quarts of salsa and I could fill a 5 gallon bucket at each tomande plant and it didn't look like I'd picked any. Super plant, please keep it available. The fruit came on very early (long before my Big Boy Hybrids) and lasted all the way PAST frost. Each day I would pick 5-10 tomatoes! The flavor was a tiny bit acidic, but still excellent, despite their "roma" size, I even cut them up for sandwiches. I'd grow them again in a second." |
