Submitted by dontneedanickname from Michigan "I ordered a packet of this seed years ago, and it has grown back beautifully and faithfully - and BIGGER - every year since. I host scores of butterflies and watch lots of caterpillars grow on the many huge plants I have from just one packet of seed. The plants are so prolific that there are plenty of leaves for the caterpillars to munch, and it never looks "munched on." If you want to add plants that enhance your yard and add to the butterfly population, this is an excellent choice -- and this is the only place I've seen this variety." |

The first flower bed I saw of these were planted in a damp, cool, rainy area and they still were a sea of pure color, there were so many blooms on each plant. The tight petals and the striking combination of orange and golden yellow really stands out." |

Submitted by Marmoxmag from Scarborough, ME "These tomatoes were the surprise hit of my garden in 2007. I had never tried this variety before, usually planting Burpee classic red cherry tomatoes. First, these are DELICIOUS fresh off the plant and stay fresh for a long time in the fridge. Secondly, I couldn't *believe* the yield. I truly must have had 100 tomatoes on each plant, easy. I couldn't keep up with them, and invited friends and neighbors over to enjoy the harvest. Finally, unlike the yellow heirloom pear tomatoes, these don't split when they're ripe. The pears split open the second they're ready meaning 100% blemished fruit, but these are "ripe" at a variety of shades and never split open. I'm planting again this year! :) |

The fruit came on very early (long before my Big Boy Hybrids) and lasted all the way PAST frost. Each day I would pick 5-10 tomatoes! The flavor was a tiny bit acidic, but still excellent, despite their "roma" size, I even cut them up for sandwiches. I'd grow them again in a second." |

At their peek i was filling a reguler sized cereal bowl daily with tomatoes, and i was letting my neighbors help themselves, and there were still ripe tomatoes on the vine!! . The taste is fabulous and i used them in most meals, they froze well...what can i say?!?.. i'll buy these again this year!" |

That is the first time I have ever tried it, instead of just planting the seed outside. I couldn't believe how easy they were to grow!! I had no trouble with them in any way. When they were big enough, I transplanted them outside. They grew bigger then what the package stated. The colors were exactly what they were supposed to be, a whole mix. They tolerated the hot summer & the strong winds we get (we live on top a hill, by an open field). The butterflies were crazy about them!! We saw butterflies we have never seen before! My daughter loves them & the butterflies, so we we plant them every year & add more to the other side of our garden. Definatley buy these if you want a butterfly garden & a lot of rich beautiful color. Not to mention how hardy & easy they are to grow & keep!!" |

Never had a problem with disease or blossom end rot. I plant a variety of tomatoes every year but look forward to these the most. Can eat them plain with a bit of salt for a great healthy snack. Come out a beautiful orange color when dried in the dehydrator. Almost tastes like a dried apricot when dried." |

The speed in germination is awesome and it works very well with growing on seedlings. I have 6 of these mats I use for seed starting and even use them in my greenhouse during the cold winter months to help regulate temperatures of my vegetables." |

Submitted by MNGardener from Southern Minnesota "This corn is absolutely delicious. We had about 8 5ft rows and unfortunately the bunnies got about a 1/3 of them, but what we harvested was amazing. We grilled them on a gas grill (when having hamburgers topped with the "sweet tangerine tomatoes" - also excellent) and they were perfect. Nice sized ears with kernels all they way to the end. We'll double the corn space in the garden in 2008 and fence it well so the bunnies don't get any sweet corn!!" |

I was looking for a huge meaty tomato with great taste & I found it in this tomato. I will grow this tomato every year in the future. I shared some with my elderly neighbor & he was amazed at the size, texture & taste. If you are looking for a tomato that will cover an entire slice of bread with one slice, this is the one. They are very prolific producers. I did not have problems with getting spots on them & rotting before they were ripe." |

Submitted by playsndirt from Ossineke "This plant was a bit of a surprise to me, as I had mistakenly planted it as a cucumber on a trellis. By the time it had flowers, I was mystified as to what it was that I actually HAD planted! I was pleased to see several little 'hourglass' shapes forming on the vines. The summer season was difficult....little rain, stifling heat, and I'm sure that contributed to the demise of so many of the little ones. But! The two that survived off of that one plant were so heavy they broke my trellis! What fun! I saved them and hung them to dry in my garage across from the woodburner, and just tonight Dremel-ed the chickadee hole and retrieved an enormous amount of seed to plant for 2008. All in all, despite my mistake and a rough life, I look forward to planting them again!" |
